Returns within 24 hours -- very very poor user interface

Many, many years ago even a simple 7 segment LED or LCD digital display cost a lot of money to fit a product, but today a full dot matrix LCD capable of displaying fully written words as part of real user interface, cheap! There was a time many, many years ago when it was expensive to add more than a few switches to a product, but today even a $10 remote comes with an entire number pad! This product sells for $700, which is far more than the cost of the vast majority of smartphones. So for $700 I EXPECT a regular LCD that can display menu items in REAL WORDS, not an overheated 7-segment digital LCD that presents me with cryptic non-words in a way I haven't seen since the 70's! For $700 I EXPECT a full keyboard with keys that makes each of the very limited functions selectable with the press of a button. light measurement! I expect to be able to run the very limited functionality of this device without having to go to the manual to figure out how to use it! We live in the 2010s, not the 1970s. I don't need this thing to have a full color windowed touchscreen UI - it's just a meter. But of course, the makers of this device can do even more!

Pros
  • Accurately measures UVA and UVC light intensity; Full scale auto ranges are 2mAw/cm2 and 20mAv/cm2
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged
