Great gift, not as bright as in the picture.
The plasma sphere does not have as many electrical "arms" as shown in the picture, but it behaves like a normal plasma sphere. Green color is great. My 9 year old son loves it and has used it as a night light (I've read it can be left on overnight, it can just burn out like any lightbulb). night, it may bother someone. It has a protective coating on the glass so it doesn't get too hot if you don't use your hand for a long time. Generally a great thing.
