Review on Woodies Rose Sunglasses Polarized Lenses by Victoria Scholten

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Hard to rate #2 in sunglasses

I was hoping these glasses would add a twist to my everyday chic. Unfortunately, for my taste, they are too far removed from everyday standards. The Woodies brand does an amazing marketing job with the premium you get in the box. It's nice to get all the little extras (right!). However, since I was hoping for a higher quality product (yes, I know they're only $20-25), I'd rather spend the money upgrading the goggles myself and forego the extra goodies. The wooden red temples were as expected, but the plastic part of the eye frame is really quite poor quality ($20 glasses again). It's too shiny plastic which cheapens the overall look combined with the fact that they're not heavy; maybe a little less than average. No, these aren't the cheapest glasses I've come across, but I had high hopes for them because they're so cool. I haven't decided whether to keep them because I ordered a second pair with purple lenses and traditional wooden temples (same review, updated color combo). It's cool for me when I'm very casual but still want something bright (I think that's why their marketing campaign is about beachwear). I can't give them 5 stars but my heart will break if I give them 3 stars.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
