I purchased this to protect a young tree from deer rubbing antlers, after I noticed the bark was stripped from part of the trunk. A local nursery farm uses a similar material on their young trees. I wrapped this around the trunk from root to branches and secured with zip ties. It should deter deer until the trunk is no longer attractive to them with plenty of space for the trunk to grow. The plastic could also be used to contain, or fence garden plants. I think it would be tall enough to deter some rabbits, too. There is not a lot on the roll, but it was enough for my purposes with extra leftover for other trees or plants.
