I've had several of these in my life, having been an amateur audiophile since the early 70's. We used to use them to pick up a signal from FM stations. In your college days, when you were visiting friends, you could see these antennas on the walls of the living room. Putting it on the living room wall can be a fashion/decorative blunder these days, but I still do it by hiding part of the antenna behind the tapestry next to "Stereo" (use of the word "stereo" can be pretentious). . - also incriminating faux pas, realizing that the person is old and getting involved). They seem to be working just fine even though they're probably three times as expensive as they were in the 1970's. Considering that Radio Shack disappeared ten years ago, it was the only place you could find something like this and all the hi-fi shops are gone, I say it's a good buy.
