Within a few days the first one I used was discolored and showing signs of oxidation from our humid environment (PNW fall) which makes me doubt it's stainless steel. In the photo, the key ring is attached to a stainless steel chain and pewter pendant that have been exposed to what was on the ring. The chain, which is definitely made of stainless steel, remains smooth and shiny. Keyrings are very durable and look great right away, but if your keyring gets wet, this may not be the best option.
