Review on πŸͺ₯ Oral-B Genius 6000 Electric Toothbrush - Orchid Purple: Enhancing Dental Care by Jason Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pleasantly surprised

Before I bought this brush, I read long individual reviews online about the Oral-B Genius 6000 electric toothbrush, including comparisons with the 5000, 7000 and 8000 models. . It was described as having only 5 cleaning modes. Only the white 6000 only has 5 cleaning modes. Other flowers including my orchid have 6 (pleasant surprise) including a non-white brush tongue cleaning mode. The 6000 model is more powerful than the 5000 and 7000 models and has a lithium-ion battery while they have NiMH batteries. This means the battery is less heavy, likely to last longer in terms of battery life, and last longer on a charge. Thanks to frequent coupons, the Revain 6000 is also cheaper than these models. The Bluetooth app includes functionality for the Smart Wireless Guide, which is available with the 7000, although I don't like using Bluetooth when using the brush. We don't need more radiation near our brains! I am very sensitive to noise and loud music and was so concerned when the Revain review said it was loud! I find them quieter and more comfortable than older Oral B electric toothbrushes like the Vitality I've used. The main downsides are that you can only select the mode when the toothbrush is on and in your mouth, and the default "daily brush" setting doesn't even have an icon. But it's not that hard to work around, just weird design flaws. The brush still works great! When I saw the tongue mode available, I immediately bought the recommended Sensitive toothbrush head. But I've found that it's difficult to avoid the gag reflex when using it, so a tongue scraper or using a sensitive head with the toothbrush detached when brushing your teeth might be better alternatives.

Pros

Cons
  • Long delivery time
