Used although I bought a new one. Was already out of the box. Everything was simply gathered in a heap and thrown into a box. There was junk on the remote like someone had used it for a while and then just tossed it back in the box. It does not work. Of the 40 videos, one played and the rest were distorted. It also (as a bonus) fully encrypted my USB drive so it's no longer needed. I'm really looking forward to using this device.

I bought this on purpose because the product description said it could use PGS subtitles. I do not think so. When I use Handbrake to create mkv files from Blu-ray disc and insert PGS subtitles along with video and audio, the subtitles don't appear with this player. (Although they are, since VLC shows subtitles). Also the answer to the question said that the size of the subtitles can be controlled.
