Review on Buyee Portable HD Media Player - 1080P Resolution, HDMI, VGA, AV Outputs, SD Card Inputs by Ricardo Mercado

I bought this on purpose because the product description said it could use PGS subtitles. I do not think so. When I use Handbrake to create mkv files from Blu-ray disc and insert PGS subtitles along with video and audio, the subtitles don't appear with this player. (Although they are, since VLC shows subtitles). Also the answer to the question said that the size of the subtitles can be controlled. I don't see a way to do this - at least not with VobSub subtitles multiplexed into a mkv file using Handbrake. Maybe the size of subtitles can be controlled when using SRT files, but you can't get them directly when ripping DVD. To be honest I don't think there is a media player in this price range that can play PGS subtitles from MKV files, and also few Blu-Ray players (when reading MKV files, not using a disk). However, the description of the product seems to be wrong in this regard. The rest of the device is fantastic and works very well. It's beautiful and easy to travel with. I don't think there is anything better in this price range.
