Tested MP4s but not yet

I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone so I found the following about this product. I tested this extensively as I wanted it to work properly and hopefully it will help those looking for an mp4 solution. I have several home videos ranging in size from 1GB to 6GB. All videos play without problems on 1 Linux box, 1 XP machine, 1 Windows 7 machine, 1 LG SmartTV and 1 Samsung TV. The Samsung Tab 3 required VLC to play them. I tested 5 different videos on a USB drive (NTFS format). All 5 videos can be played on the devices listed above except for the tablet (no USB port) so you should think this buyee would work. --Audio: ACC with multi-channel support Video B: 1.4GB--Video: H.264 24fps with resolution: 480-1200--Audio AC3 with multi-channel support Video C: 4.3GB--Video: H . 264 24 fps resolution: 1080 bit rate - 4500 - Audio ACC StereoVideo D: 5.1 GB - Video: H.264 24 fps resolution: 1080 bit rate - 4500 - Audio AC3 with support for multi-channel video E: 4.6 GB - - Video: H.264 24fps, Resolution: 1080 Bitrate - 4500 - Audio AC3 StereoPros: 1. It's as simple as connecting power, HDMI to your TV and a USB stick.2. Small and light weight, easy to travel with.3. It also has an SD slot, although the size allowed here is limited.4. You can use HDMI, component, and RCA video to view on any TV, including campus TVs, hotel rooms, and conference projectors. Cons: 1. It's hit or miss when playing files larger than 4GB. Presumably the size is supported, for example video C, D and E gives a file that is not supported, but then try again and it works, try after that and same box again. I couldn't see this error window at all for files less than 4GB. Could it be USB speed and bitrate? Maybe, but if he plays, no problem to the point.2. Biggest scam of all. The remote control sucks, it only really works if you're really into it. If the remote control is broken, you won't be able to navigate with the few buttons on the device itself.3. AC3 IS NOT SUPPORTED! ALL videos, not just large ones, are choppy and unviewable when using the AC3 audio codec. The video stops for 2-3 seconds and then jumps on. Ironically, the audio is normal, this video is choppy. A large video (Video C) when Con #1 doesn't happen plays fine as it uses ACC audio, which tells me video bitrate and USB speed aren't an issue. My opinion on what needs to be renewed is: the device should better be able to read large files, if USB3 is needed then do it, it needs AC3 support, the remote control needs to be renewed or just all the buttons on the device need to be renewed to be available. The remote control is therefore not required. Summary: It has potential and is on the right track, but much-needed design changes need to be made. I recommend buying a Raspberry Pi with XBMC. It works with every video I have for it and it's light and small too. The only problem with the Pi is that it needs to be shut down and booted up.
