I've never connected to this type of network, but I needed to fix the ethernet in my office. I watched YouTube and learned a few lessons for myself. I have 15 ports to make and have looked at Home Depot and Menards but limited choices and a lot of money for what I need. If I bought them from those stores, I would have needed a 110 impact wrench to install wires in metal corridors. These AMPCOMs required no tools and cost only 30% of what I could get locally. I still doubted. The product arrived the next day. These connectors are not flimsy. I was impressed with how solidly everything was made and I'm sure you will be too. I looked at the spinning mechanism pulling the wires into the metal grooves and thought they would be difficult to spin. I was wrong. I successfully assembled the first one successfully the first time. It was easy. When I made my third I knew exactly how best to route the wires and then the building process was just plain easy. Like I said, I'll buy it. People like LeGrand would be smart to buy this technology, but they'd rather sell you a special $45 tool that only works for their purposes and charge more for the purposes. For $45 I could do 30 ports with these AMPCOM connectors. Note. I am a mechanical engineer, but have little knowledge of electrical engineering/computer science. Just because I'm an engineer didn't make it easier to do this job. I am sure that with a certain amount of common sense you will achieve the same success as I did!
