I installed these in my garage door opener and they have made my garage that much brighter. I like that they don't use a lot of electricity so a garage door opener can safely power them. They are vibration resistant, so they won't break. And they give off a ton of light. 5000K is quite a white light but I love it in my garage. My only criticism is probably that incandescent bulbs don't put out the same amount of light in all directions. Closer to the base of the lamp they have some circuitry so the light only shines up and to the sides. With a garage door opener, this means that some directions will have less light than others.
