Review on Toshiba SD-3980 DVD Player with Progressive-Scan Technology by Ralph Foster

Toshiba SD-3980-su2 DVD player is annoying

I found this review site about the Toshiba SD-3980-SU2 DVD player and decided to add my own review, although it's an older one product trades. My Toshiba DVD player died after playing about 20 movies. The DVD player does not load DVDs and then gives a message that the DVD is not a valid disc. Who would have thought that all the movies were printed on the wrong DVDs? I've searched the internet for ways to repair a DVD player. I have come across several websites that say "Toshiba will ONLY replace the product IF AND ONLY IF SU2 is at the end of the product number" and "Call Technical Support at 1-800-631-3811 to request a replacement to get a DVD player". I don't know where these people found this information, but it's not certain. I called Toshiba and asked about replacing my DVD player. I was told that Toshiba will not replace defective turntables with this model number. I will never buy a Toshiba product based on this DVD player again.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
