As mentioned in many other 1 star reviews, there is a flaw in the way this adapter connects to the monitor. This is a small screw that should attach the adapter to the metal stand, similar to how you attach a glass dome to a ceiling fan. This piece will not hold and will break at the slightest pressure. I know I didn't over-tighten it because although it initially held, the slightest movement towards the monitor was enough to cut off a chunk. This piece of metal is not welded as a whole, part of it is attached with glue. This is a terribly cheap way around the problem. After paying close to $30 for an adapter, you expect higher quality, but that's not the case here.
