I have noticed that the price of this product can vary, that's why I bought it for only 47 cents ! (Shipping was of course several times more expensive, but it was still worth it). So if you're wondering if this adapter actually works, I can tell you mine worked with no problems. I ordered it along with a separate SanDisk 4Gig Memory Stick Duo pro and everything worked fine once I assembled them and connected them to my old Sony digital camera. I noticed that I had to take at least one photo and save it to my memory card before my iMac could read the folder. Even if the standalone memory card says 4 gigabytes, only 3.72 gigabytes are available according to the computer. No problem, there's still plenty of room, just thought I'd mention it; I know that sometimes the system needs to take up some memory. In any case, I am very happy that I replaced the 256MB hard drive that I originally bought with the camera with a 3.72GB hard drive. The camera can now store over 2,000 photos (was around 100) which means I can take my camera on vacation without fear of running out of storage or having to download it to empty my memory card!
