Review on Honest Paws Natural Enzymatic Toothpaste by Tammy Harris

Great for awful dog breath

I have two dogs, a Karin Terrier and a Yorkshire that has TERRIBLE teeth. The Yorkie had major dental surgery about a year ago and lost many of his teeth but the ones that are left are brown and disgusting! I've heard that brushing dogs' teeth is really good for them, but I've never been able to make it a part of my routine. After using this product daily (and sometimes multiple times a day), especially on my Yorkie, I noticed a difference. in the smell of his breath and the color of his teeth! I was really impressed and as the results are often action motivating I have a feeling I will continue to use this product on a regular basis. I can't wait to see how his teeth will look in 6 months or even a year. This can really save us a lot of money. For the next dog I will definitely use this product as soon as the dog is accepted. My Yorkie is about 14 years old so unfortunately he has a lot of previous damage but if I can do something the results could be even better! I'm taking off a star because my dogs don't seem to care about the taste. I understand that human toothpaste isn't exactly palatable and that smell/taste can be important for fresh breath, but it was tough as my dog wrinkled his nose at the taste and walked away with a disgusted look. I ended up holding them gently to brush my teeth and they didn't seem to mind too much after it was done. Use this product even better! This has helped make the process a lot easier (and less smelly on my finger!). I recommend this product and would definitely put it on my repurchase list given the value of two large bottles that work well.
