Review on Racor PLB-2R Garage Wall Mount Bike Rack Stand by Rhonda Rrain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

the device arrived on time and in good condition. Fits OK

Unit arrived on time and in good condition. They go well together but this stand is made in China and has the typical tolerances of Chinese made products. it fits together, but it doesn't quite match. Some parts seem to force you to put them together, other parts come together but can wobble a bit. There isn't a bike I would put on this stand without fixing it to the wall. If you're looking for a stand that's not attached to anything, this isn't it. That being said, even the most expensive stalls here have had reviews saying they weren't that sturdy, and even some of the quirky stalls have reviews with photos of thousand-dollar bikes mangled on top of each other after the stall fell. With that in mind, I wasn't too concerned about how sturdy the stand is as I've decided to tape everything I've bought to the wall no matter what. At this point there is no need to buy anything too trendy or expensive, this stand will get the job done. It's just not impressive. For those who live in apartment buildings, invest in some sort of compound to fix the drywall and a pint of paint to match what you have when you move out. If you move out you can fix all the big holes and they won't even be able to find them. Forget buying something you would trust two bikes to without mounting them to the wall. I would buy it again as it served my purpose and I got 3 stars for it. But it's fairly cheaply made, poorly designed and advertised as a freestanding stand when actually it isn't.
