Received the pad yesterday and after one night I can say it was really comfortable, warm but not too warm. To be honest, I didn't want to come out from under it this morning! Also, I kept reading about people talking about these comforters making "noise". I couldn't understand what they were talking about. I did notice a slight crackle when you move the comforter but if everyone was referring to that they must really be a light sleeper or every little thing is bugging them because it's NO BIG DEAL at all. In fact, my husband and I joked about how we'd even hear it because we're going to SLEEP! I suppose everyone is different but I really thought it was imperceptible at all. I wouldn't have thought about it if I hadn't read about it in other reviews. I also read that sometimes there is an odor.? I can honestly say that this duvet didn't have an odd smell. One thing I would like to mention is that for some reason I was under the impression that the filling was all the way down, but when I read the label it said 75% feather & only 25% down! I was disappointed with that so I went back and re-read the entire ad about it and I honestly couldn't find anywhere that it would 100% fail (my head was spinning quite a bit from all the reviews and research to find the right kind of insert for us!) So I guess that must be my fault, but obviously it turned out good anyway. I didn't notice any spikes or anything like that. I have to say it was only one night and the sheets I get for us always seem to fall apart quickly no matter what it is or where I bought it. But that's mostly up to us I guess, I just hope we don't get any kind of holes & feathers all over the place! I have 2 cats who think the bed is theirs and my husband and I sleep with THEM. Wish us luck, I have a feeling we'll need it! But I really like this blanket and would definitely recommend it. If something changes, I will probably update this review. It's winter in Colorado, so time should show it!
