Review on Winco 4-Inch Square Egg Ring: Achieve Perfect Eggs with Stainless Steel Precision by Shaun Stapp

Check my stats, I RARELY browse but it's been frustrating. and such a disappointment. I searched and searched for an egg shape and thought this would fit. I really wanted to love him, but I was wrong. While this product is durable and aesthetically pleasing, it just doesn't work. Cons: The pans are curved and this shape has a straight bottom, meaning the egg will drain right out through the slot. I tried a few tips like heating the mold in a pan (also tried in the oven) and pushing it with my free hand while pouring in the egg. No, it didn't work. (I'll add that I used liquid egg whites, which have a fluffier consistency than "real" eggs, but I don't think the difference is big enough for this product to actually work with real eggs.) I did tried it too. Add spinach, onion and/or yellow squash to the pan before adding the egg to "take up space and seal the rim" but that didn't work either: (Basically with a 4x4 pan you get verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr thiiiinnnnnnn (less than 0.5 inch is ok but I didn't buy the mold for it!) A 4x4 egg that would have turned out the same or better without the mold.. It was just a waste and although there are some other shapes They're pretty expensive there and have about the same reviews, so to spend a good $11-16 (even $10 is too much!) for a different shape, I'd say just take the eggs as is or mold them Pan with a spatula. (Or do what I did and keep looking! lol) Pros: Sturdy! So much potential! If it were bent I think it would be heavy enough to lift itself off. Yes it will very easy to clean! I don't know ht if it is pam or olive oil I use for my eggs but the part that stayed in shape didn't get stuck. Cleans with a simple wipe (make sure you dry it completely or it will rust). I have no intention of returning the product but will take a hammer to see if I can round the bottom. That's a little extra work, but I just want to clarify that the product isn't with her! Just keep looking.
