I bought these expensive lights as a snap on for my halogen lights for my 2017 mk7 gti S model. They snap into place but when you turn it on the last 8th inch turn it locks into place. To get it to do the last little turn you need to apply a lot of force to lock into place. with the tight angles getting it to lock by hand just isn't possible. I even offered 10$ a light if anyone can lock them in and 14 people later no one got a single dollar. I then just bought some gorilla epoxy 2 step mix and removed the metal backplate and epoxied it onto the light. that way I used a curved 45degree pick to snap the light intro place because the backing was so weak that it would snap off when I applied tension to it. you could also use a flathead to snap it into place
