Early, Non-Verified Reviews Skewed But Prob Not Fake.Product Worse Than Some, Better Than Others

Updating my review in trust that Jill/Totlogic is being straightforward about not soliciting reviews. While it does seem wildly coincidental that within 24 hours, the same reviewers would publish identical reviews for every SKU in the TotLogic line (and have no reviews for any other product), it is conceivable that these folks were big fans of the product/amazon shoppers but were so gung-ho that they wanted to evangelize.Given the uncanny windowing of the review bursts and the fact that none of them were Ebay verified purchases, I'd hope, Jill, that you would understand how it really has the appearance that they specifically asked friends and/or customers to help seed some reviews. If you google articles that discuss "How To Spot Fake Online Reviews", the reviews that were written fulfilled many of the criteria (short, non-specific, written on the same day, reviewer has no other reviews under their belt.). Because really, Jill, no one is on a crusade against you and your company. Think about it: When it comes to your own product, you would stand to gain from having fake reviews, whereas Ebay users who would flag those reviews gain nothing. It's the old "follow the money" adage. Whats more likely?: That a company would post fake reviews, or that random group of unconnected Ebay users would unite in an effort to hurt said company? I know it must feel really personal, because it's "yours", but no one just woke up and thought: Hey, let's mess with Totlogic! Frankly, there'd be nothing in it for us, other than helping other parents--it's not like Ebay pays a bounty on fake reviewers. I hope that this makes you feel better, and helps you understand where people are coming from. We are just responding to what really had the appearance of a fishy behavior that has gone a long way to diminish the efficacy of the Ebay review sections. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, look up the article in Forbes that discusses the impact of fake Ebay reviews.More importantly than all of the above: I stand by my review that the product is pretty unexceptional, which is why I was miffed by the original copy/pasted reviews in the first place (At the time I made my purchase, these non-verified Ebay purchase reviews were the only reviews for this product). You could do worse, but you could also do a lot better. Lots of choices out there and a world of different hair types---Luckily there's more out there to try than ever before, and none of us is stuck using Johnsons & Johnsons.Oh, side note: If you are very interested in checking cosmetic products/ingredients for safety concerns, check out Skin Deep Cosmetics Database. It rates products and the ingredients therein. You can find some of this manufacturers products there, as well as many others.
