I had to send it back immediately. Was a 3rd birthday present for our son with his first cruiser bike. We gave him the day before and he couldn't fit on his small head. It has an elastic style component so it can stretch and fit into different sized shoes, but he doesn't put it on at all. His head is not big for his age and rather average so I wouldn't recommend this helmet to anyone older. at 3 years of age unless their heads are very small for their age. It may have fit him when he was 2 years old, but it was in no way suitable for a 4 or 5 year old. The helmet itself looked cool and very safe as I would expect from a Bell product but it won't fit your little one unless their head is tiny.
