I bought this to be able to record videos on my phone with a small microphone stand, although I had to buy an adapter for the microphone diameter screw. This item is made of plastic, which is good, but the phone holder only rotates on a vertical support, NOT up and down or side to side. Also, it does NOT have a spring extension to grip the phone, just a hand screw on the bottom. Fur. Too bad I didn't read the description more closely. I ended up spending a few bucks more and ended up with a really nice aluminum body with a spring loaded handle and fully adjustable ball for easy adjustment. There are also no instructions on how to use the remote control.
