Great option for the right pet

This pet carrier looks good and is made of quality materials, but my cat doesn't like it. I have an anxious cat that would prefer to be held all day if possible. I ordered this headband hoping my cat would enjoy the feeling of being close to me so I can use both hands instead of holding them alone. Unfortunately it's not for him. The material from which this sling is made is of relatively high quality. It feels solid and I'm not worried that it won't support the weight of a small pet. The strap is nice and wide, which works perfectly to distribute the load on the shoulder. What I don't like is the cord around the neck. The design of the neck of this sling is such that you need to put your pet's head through the hole and then tighten it around the neck. If your pet is calm and likes the sling, this is not a problem. However, if you have a violent pet or a pet that doesn't like the sling, it can very easily choke on the neck opening. Additionally, cats and dogs that love to chew may have trouble placing the umbilical cord. Even if my cat liked this noose, she would eat the cord within a few days. It's too accessible for him and too much like a fun toy. Overall I think this sling is a great choice for people with small, quiet pets. For those with pets that are more playful or very independent, I would suggest looking for a pet backpack rather than a sling.
