Looks like they corrected the description of this 4 pack and removed the "single filter " part.
And I've bought them everywhere I can find them for the past 10 years. They are affordable and do what they say. For me they usually last a lot longer than the 3 months as advertised; my current record is just under 7 months. I know because I write the date when I put it on the filter itself (as stated in one of the other reviews). I use them until the water I drink starts to taste like regular tap water. Not scientifically, I know, but that's a decent number for me. For me it tastes as good as any Brita or Pur filter.
