I have a German shepherd and I took measurements. I chose the big one but it's too big for her. Their physique is long and lean, but very broad and full in the front. I'll order medium and see if it works better. She's a decent size, 74 pounds, but doesn't fit snugly enough on the back of her body around her stomach. It didn't seem to rub against the joints on her legs. There was a lot of space. The straps were a bit tangled but sorted out. Backpacks are very roomy. Hopefully once I get the right fit it stays well balanced. I like the handle on the back as I often have to grab it for one reason or another.
