Unfortunately we have been very unhappy with this car seat. We are 4 months into using it and we have only gotten more and more frustrated. Where to begin?1. It is difficult to cinch the latch system down. The tightening buckle jams against the car seat and so we simply can't tighten it as much as it should be tightened.2. We have a compact SUV and a minivan (not small cars) and in both vehicles it jams against the seat in front. Maybe a good thing considering that the latch system doesn't secure the seat. But not so great for whoever is riding in front.3. The buckle straps cut into her neck. Literally. I have to be strategic about forcing the awkwardly bulky pads up high enough to separate the straps enough to not cut in and create red marks. Unfortunately they often ride down, bc they aren't made to be that high and it happens anyways. Furthermore, I have to be really careful to separate the straps with one hand while loosening the straps with the other hand in order to not create a friction burn. Info, I haven't gotten it apart enough several times and left a mark anyways. A few times I have noticed the mark on her neck even long after taking her out. To clarify, my daughter is not a big girl, she is actually quite thin compared to her peers, so it's definitely the car seat design and not her body type.4. The cover is easy to remove but very difficult to put back on. Including having to rethread and rehook the straps which always gives me anxiety bc what if I've done it wrong and compromised the safety? Putting the cover back on and rethreading the straps is not straightforward and very time consuming. Furthermore, the material stained with a snack pouch and despite using several methods of stain removal/spit treatment and removing the cover and washing it, it remains discolored.5. Lastly, the seat seems uncomfortable. When I've pulled my daughter out and done a diaper change right away, I notice that there are red pressure marks on her bottom. She doesn't seem to complain, but I always feel bad when I have to have her there for a long car ride.
