You need it if you hate TV

I got one of these in the early 2000's and found it very handy for shutting down the idiot boxes that blare loudly in most establishments. After the battery died and my ex stole it, I forgot about it all until I ended up at the doctor's office with a LOUD TV that no one saw (oddly enough people have these amazing phones to talk to now) and kept myself away from it off to read my book. I wanted to drown it out - and that's when I came up with this little invention! Although I wish it would let me mute or switch channels (others do but don't prime and have low ratings / require special programming) and be faster (it can take up to 62 seconds to find the right channel) . model code of the TV, pointing it at the TV in question) it pays to have a small device in my pocket that I can use to turn off annoying TVs in bars, doctor's offices, etc. They are just for distraction or nerves. word of warning; Many bars have TV remotes behind them so you'll find the TVs come back on, but if you turn them off enough you'll enjoy the staff wondering why the TVs are 'broken'. Just be careful!
