It's smaller (which is what I wanted) but I think an evergreen wreath would fit around it if you want it to fill a large table. Even without candles it would be better. In the center there is space for a small column or votive. I think I'll take a clear glass votive base and a white candle for the center (Christ candle). The carving is well detailed. Gold rubbed somewhat rustic. It looks like gold leaf, just a little bit of metallic shimmer. I like this balance. There are no facial features on the faces. It seems very strong and durable. The stage spins in circles, so no matter where you sit at the table, it's a beautiful view. It was well protected with foam. I love it.
