Excellent light for the money. Yes, it feels like it's made out of cheap plastic, but so far it's holding up well (I've been using it for about a month). There are no overheating issues. In fact, during a call, I accidentally left it at the station for about 2 hours and it wasn't even hot. I mounted it on top of the windshield on the passenger side. And the cable is long enough to run along the edge of the windshield to the center of the dash and then to the 12 volt connector which I plugged directly into the battery (through the fuse). For people who say the mounting angle is wrong, make sure you have the right side up. At first I (stupidly) installed it wrong and couldn't figure out why it was tipping down. As for the brightness. That's great! Moves traffic day and night. It's nice when oncoming cars pull up to the curb 1/4 mile in front of you. I can highly recommend for this money.
