Inferior coaxial cable

In one word: SHIT. I bought this a while ago for a UHF OTA (wireless) antenna. I opted for what I felt to be a better quality coax cable as we were on the outskirts of town and had concerns about line loss. I spent most of the day with 2 different antenna configurations and was only able to receive 1 signal from a stronger signal source (KDKA, Pittsburgh) with a meager 3 sub-channels. I resigned myself to the fact that we were too far away and the topography was working against us. Let's fast forward a few weeks. Today I had some free time during my holidays and on a whim I decided to run an antenna using a garden quality RG6-U coil I found in the basement. Now I can receive 22 channels without any problems. To be fair, I reconnected the section of CIMPLE coax that was previously installed and switched it back to the original 3. The fact that it lets the signal through at all indicates that there are no breaks in the section and that the cable itself is smooth. Poorly.

Pros
  • Low-loss cable for exceptional signal and picture quality even over long distances. Works both indoors and out, with a very durable PVC outer shell that is weather and UV resistant. High quality stable 75 ohms throughout the cable.
Cons
