Review on Nocona Men's Black Inlay Middle Boots by Jeff Sorensen

Nice strap, description might be useful

I have had many Nocona straps and they have all been well made. This one is no exception. Leather, seams, finishes - everything is perfect. However, describing this topic may require some effort. I ordered the color "black" and noticed in the picture that it was half black and half brown. This works fine for me, but be warned if you're looking for a full black belt. The background of the belt is black leather with a rough texture and the details around the buckle, tip and band insert are finished in a semi-gloss medium brown. It should also be noted that there are four silver conchos around the belt; This was not mentioned and is not visible in the black belt photos. You can see the concho on brown belt photos. This isn't a problem since I have a silver buckle, but it might be a problem for those who have a brass or gold buckle or who don't need an additional flash. The concho appears to be removable with the slotted screws on the inside of the belt, but this results in the belt not looking quite right. They are approximately 3/4 inch in diameter and feature a western-inspired floral design with rope-like piping. This is not horsehair like some other belts I've seen. The holes in the belt are double reinforced for durability and the protruding threads have been factory cut and hot cut to prevent fraying. The belt edges and waist loop are coated in black vinyl that blends perfectly with the leather and eliminates any roughness. From experience with my other Nocona belts I can tell you that the coating is very durable and will not wear down with wear or moisture . I am delighted with this purchase, especially for the price. I expect this belt to last me many years as well as my others.
