I received the goods in the hope of replacing an old homemade expander that has become obsolete. I have a 2015 Toyota Rav 4 and the front disc brake calipers have a closed frame which doesn't allow this type of spreader to work as it's basically two blades that you put between the piston and the pad frame. I was able to test the device on the rear brakes as they have an open frame. This worked fine, but I can see where the blade flex comments might be an issue as the force would not be applied to the center of the blades to push the piston, but would come from the end where the pivot screw would apply torque generated. If your brake is an open frame and not very heavy, this could be a good device. Be sure and look at your caliper before you buy it.
