They were once the market leader in smart home lightbulbs. Now it has become incredibly difficult and uncomfortable to work with them. I've moved to a new house. All I wanted to do was erase my previous configurations and reconfigure everything from scratch. I went to alexa.amazon.com, erased all my previous devices and disabled the Hue skill. Set everything up again in the Hue app - everything looks fine. Except now it just doesn't connect properly to Alexa. Now this is the third time I'm trying to set this up - when I search for devices a seemingly random list of lights comes up, some of which are unconnected and still in the box, others are connected, some which I think are belong to me Neighbor (because they are called "duck pond" and he has a duck pond). I'm a software development manager making over $500k and I don't know how to get those lightbulbs working again. I find these bulbs work great if you buy them new, reinstall them once and only once and never move again. Never try to reset them again. You have to get it right the first time, throw them out and buy brand new ones if you ever want to move into a new house. This used to be a great product that now has 2.4 stars on the Alexa store because the integration is completely broken. Don't be fooled by the current rating, it is based on the product's past success. Now it is a defective, defective, unsuitable product.
