My 1998 Acura 3.2TL (315,000 miles) has had a significant leak for about a year. The expense of replacing the steering rack just isn't worth it, so I treat the symptom by topping up the power steering fluid frequently. For the past year, I've used at least 20 ounces of Advance Auto's Honda-certified ready-to-use fluid, which is priced at around $7 for 12 ounces. After making the switch, not only did my cost per ounce drop by a quarter, I also reduced my refill frequency, using just under a liter in 4 weeks. Anecdotal, but I think my steering system actually handles it better. Great price and no longer runs dry.
