This system works great for our Morkie (he weighs about 10 pounds) and Yorkie (she weighs about 8 pounds). We buried it where we crossed two dirt roads but just attached it to the bottom strand of the barbed wire fence we have (we live on a farm). In all, we used about 1300 feet of cabling. Easy to install, easy to adjust collars, etc. The only downside is the batteries for the collars - I wish the collars were rechargeable (those types of collars seem to be available for PetSafe wireless fences). Otherwise we love it!
