70-200mm Mark III Lens is Ridiculous! Upgrading to a non-IS version, I'm very happy with the color and autofocus speed of this lens. As a sports and portrait photographer I would say that the 70-200mm f/2.8 is the most widely used lens that will ever be used. . Its versatility and quality never disappoints. A NOTICE. It is used with the R5 that I just bought. With this lens, the frame is important to me. The new RF mount version of the 70-200 is more compact and another great lens BUT the lens moves in and out of the body. This made me worried about protection from dust and mildew. I also shoot in very dusty conditions, so a protective glass is essential. Sure, I can send it to Canon for cleaning once a year with my CPS membership, but the moving barrel scares the shit out of me. They are too expensive to permanently replace.
