Has an orange fill but the color of the fill doesn't matter because it's still not an OEM part (obviously). The MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do is test it before installing it. TIPS: **Before installing the unit**, blow out the small inlet tube and ensure air can flow freely. Place your mouth over the large opening at the back, then breathe in and out. If the device is working properly, you should hear the internal valve flex as you inhale and exhale, and feel the flow of air only as you inhale. I know it sounds silly, but believe me, test it before you install it. The part I received had the valve either stuck or missing. I didn't open the unit to check, but I had full airflow in both directions. The OEM unit I bought from VW to replace didn't have this problem.
