Just replace the tape with double sided velcro (used for solar panels)
I really like this box. I got it for a bar table. A table extension that I attached to the folds so my goal was to make sure the table folded and the train was out of the way. It's good, especially the little one. Worst case since I use velcro I just move it to the other side of the velcro when I'm not using a drawer or need a place to sit or something. It is very convenient that you can pull out a smaller drawer and it will get stuck. It's good for people who draw (like me). I recommend it. I bought white but I think I would go for blue or black if I knew they were available.
