Ordered this item to see how well it would work. I have been watering all plants on the same schedule. Discovered that this approach may not be the best. One plant requires demineralized water while the others do not. These self watering bulbs have shown their overwhelming worth. I will order more. I chose two very different plants for the bulb's initial use. One I had not watered in 10 days. It emptied the bulb quickly -- twice. Once it was satisfied the bulb stayed filled and is now slowly draining. The second plant (a rattle snake plant) likes to be moist on a steady, constant basis. The bulb is doing a great job at keeping it just that way. That plant is recovering from a midnight cat attack. With the self watering bulb in place and some physical protection, it is now putting out new growth.Second order—unfortunately arrived shattered. Sent back and requested replacements. Hopefully next delivery will be OK! Still like this product.
