I read another review that said they don't work on some devices which is helpful info. I use them on my Surface (both front and back), my Dell work laptop and my kids use them on their school Lenovo Chromebooks and their personal Dells. However, almost all of our devices are several years old and don't have new, pulled-up cameras or anything that doesn't lay flat. They are easy to open and close. What I really like about them is that you can easily tell if they are open or closed because they are solid. I have others that open on both sides and I prefer these to these.
