The ability to have multiple course modules open at once without having to switch back and forth between them was extremely helpful when I taught several classes simultaneously! Also being able to track attendance/participation and send reminders through email or text message helped keep students engaged throughout their class time. As an instructor it’s difficult to monitor student progress and be sure they are following along properly. Having some type of platform where students could upload assignments would help alleviate this issue somewhat. Many instructors were not familiar using the software itself and had difficulty learning how to navigate it. While there may be other options out there, I highly recommend taking advantage of this free trial before committing any money. We used Pluto as part of our curriculum development process. Our team created 10 different training programs within 2 months using Pluto. Each program included quizzes and videos which allowed us to see what topics needed more attention. This tool made designing those programs much easier than if we had been doing everything manually.
