After playing baseball from primary league through high school, I realized one day that I had never played ball with my 10-year-old son, and neither had he ever learned to play a ball to catch or throw. I found this glove and soft baseball here on Amazon and for the price you couldn't beat them. This is a beginner's glove at best and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone older than eight years in the league and it's clearly no ordinary baseball glove. Other than that, it's perfect for a kid who needs to learn how to catch and throw a baseball. It performs exactly as you would expect in a glove and you can't beat the price. I also bought a soft baseball which is good for kids who are afraid of getting hit by a ball (like almost everyone). I bought one for myself and one for my son and find them perfect for the greenest of beginners. Summary - Great for teaching your child how to catch and throw a baseball - but once they've learned the basics, you need something better.
