I have thick smooth straight hair. I've bought a pack of pins from CVS, and they could not hold my hair and was bent upon first use.These, HOWEVER, do not bend and stayed on my hair. They held my thick braid up. I'm really happy with this purchase, the TSwift quote on the box is less cute.
