I ordered this antenna along with an expensive branded tri band antenna to try on a Kenwood TH-F6A handheld. An expensive tri-band antenna deafened radio on both VHF and UHF, and signals from repeaters and VHF broadcast stations were MUCH attenuated when received. I sent this antenna back. This antenna is beautiful and durable, works great and receives very well. I've had it for about two years now with no problems. It doesn't transmit on 220MHz, but on 2m and 440MHz I see resonances with my antenna analyzer where they should be (not always the case with a rubber ducky). The stem is shortened slightly at 2m for a full length 1/4 shaft so there may be some stress on the base but never mind. For those complaining about not being tuned to the amateur bands, remember that the radio itself and your body pushing it are part of the target antenna system, so any radio can change the tuning a bit, and the tuning might appears disabled when not connected to anything unless there is sufficient counterpoise on the ground. You may need to add a ground wire when measuring an antenna without a radio. My NanoVNA-F has a shielded metal housing and shows resonance points where they should be with a direct antenna connection, but slightly higher at 2m. For the best 2m performance, adding a "tiger tail" ground wire hanging down can help to better reflect the "other half" of the antenna.
