looks good doesn't fit well

steering wheel cover looks good, right spoke count and diameter for my 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser. I wish it was a darker brown to match the steering wheel but the photos on the listing are accurate so I knew what it would look like. I do not blame the seller or the manufacturer for the color deviation. However, the leather that needs to be wrapped around the spokes is obviously intended for a steering wheel with much thicker spokes. The steering wheel is 1/2" wider than the top spokes and 1" wider than the bottom spokes. At first I thought Revain or Loncky might have sent the wrong cover, so I sent it back. The second cover was exactly the same size, so the manufacturer is using the wrong template for my car. Luckily Loncky 1) sent a lot of yarn, 2) the case was actually too big and 3) I was an upholsterer a few years ago so I had the materials and know-how to fix this. I had to measure carefully and cut off the excess material. Also, the pattern isn't quite right, so I had to apply a lot of pressure to stretch the skin to fit. You can tell this by the space between the perforations extending towards the bottom of the top spokes. It's not noticeable if you don't look for it, though. I removed the steering wheel for the sake of simplicity. This made it difficult for the leather to stretch, but otherwise it would have been very difficult to continue with the factory stitching. If you decide to remove the steering wheel, be sure to disconnect the negative cable from the vehicle's battery first. You don't want the airbag to accidentally deploy! Took me about 12 hours to install in 2 days. I'm happy with how it turned out. If I had to remodel I would buy this steering wheel cover again because I can handle the cons and I love the way the perforated leather looks. However, I would not recommend buying this 2003 Land Cruiser unless they have experience with leather.
