Four weekend adventures and many uses. The French press from Coletti is undoubtedly a classic among camping utensils and on the kitchen table in the morning! For those of us who need morning (or afternoon, or evening) coffee, that's 42 ounces. the press quickly produces seven 6 oz. Cups of delicious coffee, especially when you use Coletti's Yosemite Coffee! The all-metal construction means you don't have any glass or plastic parts to shatter like traditional French presses you'll find on the market today. It's important to note that this press works just like a thermos to keep your drink hot. So you need to preheat it like a thermos (hot, boiling water before making coffee) to maximize the time the coffee stays hot. In my experience, this method keeps the coffee relatively warm for around 2.5-3 hours, depending on the ambient temperature. Unfortunately, I cannot say that I experienced more than 4 hours of hot coffee. The Coletti French Press is a great gadget to add to your camping gear or around the home.
