Review on ๐ŸŽง GuliKit Route Air Bluetooth Adapter: Seamless Wireless Audio for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC - Connect AirPods, Bluetooth Speakers & Headphones by Ryan Fuhrer

One of my favorite Nintendo Switch accessories

This bluetooth receiver was definitely worth buying. As many other reviewers have complained, the Switch doesn't have built-in pairing and Bluetooth headphone functionality. This product adds that functionality and I've had generally good experiences with it so far. It is important to note that you want to use aptX compatible headphones with this device. If you don't do this, there will likely be delays. I tried it with three headphones - cheap headphones had a very noticeable lag and wouldn't let you play. The better pair had almost no lag, barely noticeable. My aptX headphones ($49.99 pair, best quality of the three) have zero latency whatsoever. So if you're experiencing lag, it probably has a lot to do with your headphones and not the Gulikit bluetooth adapter. I ended up buying an L-shaped USB-C adapter (under $5) to use this adapter with my Skull & Co. switch case. The Bluetooth receiver doesn't immediately fit Skull & Co cases, but this is easily remedied with an inexpensive, low-profile adapter. I've noticed that other users have cut their Skull & Co cases to fit the adapter - you really don't have to! The USB-C to USB-C adapter that came with the Bluetooth adapter stopped working for me. This is the part that allows you to connect it to something other than a switch, e.g. B. a PC, a PS4 or an Xbox. I didn't care, I spent a few bucks and bought a new one - the receiver still works great. I use it daily between three different PCs and the Switch, both in docked and portable modes. For the most part, it's really just plug and play, there's no complicated setup process. I've found that if I unplug my headphones for a while, I usually have to unplug and plug the receiver back in for them to connect. Not a big deal and I really haven't had any connection loss issues while using it.
