Nice box with ribbon. The clips are welded inside in plastic on shredded paper and make a very hygienic impression. This set has a nice range of colors with black, blue, maroon and green. The clips are a solid matte color, not shiny or patterned. I find them more casual and functional than stylish, but the feathers are color coordinated and not without their appeal. They hold my hair really well when I'm washing my face, styling my hair, doing housework, going out, or want to hold my hair up or out of my face for a whole variety of reasons. I have fine, medium length, medium volume hair (except it's thinner on the sides) and these 4-1/2" bobby pins hold my hair well and won't fall off whether I cut it on the sides or not. and lift or fasten.all my hair in the back.can't tell if the paint can wear off or tear but so far they seem to hold up.Like = 4 stars.
