This straightener works great on my thick, wavy hair. I have no complaints. What's driving me nuts about this - and the reason I'm finally going to buy another one and donate this one to charity - is that the cord is ridiculously long. If your outlet is on the other side of your huge bathroom, you'll appreciate it. However, if your outlet is over the sink, a cord that long is likely to be a complete nuisance. It keeps getting stuck in drawers or drawer handles. I open the drawer and the iron flies into the air because the cord is wrapped around the handle. I have to roll up the cable and drape it over the mirror so we don't step on the connector - worse than LEGO. I know this is definitely a first world problem. But this is also a review for buyers who want to know both the pros and cons.
